Oil Seeds Pre-treatment Equipment

Pre-treatment is not one fixed machine package. The correct scope depends on the raw material, incoming impurity level, moisture, required particle size, hot- or cold-press route, press loading rhythm, and the finished-oil specification.

Select the Route Before the Equipment

  • Small dry seeds: screen dust, oversize material, stones and metal before pressing. Start with the sesame screening machine when the material is sesame, rapeseed, flaxseed, perilla or another small seed.
  • Hard kernels and nuts: confirm shell removal, grading and the particle size required by the selected press. A sample test should define whether the 11 kW pulverizer or another crusher is suitable.
  • 300/325 hot-press projects: cleaning and crushing are followed by controlled steaming, conditioning or roasting. Compare the 27 kW electric steamer, wood-fired steamer and automatic drum roaster against the actual batch size and heat source.
  • 355-500 cold-press projects: clean the material, use low-temperature drying only when required, then crush and load it directly into the hydraulic pressing barrel. Do not add roasting or high-temperature steaming to a cold-process quotation unless the buyer requests a different route.
  • Fresh fruit, palm fruit, avocado and rice bran: these materials need a project-specific process review and must not be treated as ordinary dry oilseeds.

Typical Pre-treatment Modules

ModulePurchase decision
Screening, aspiration and stone removalConfirm feed cleanliness, screen opening, dust outlet and metal-removal requirement
Dehulling and separationConfirm whether hull removal is required and how kernels, hulls and fines are collected
Crushing, flaking or grindingConfirm target particle range, temperature rise, throughput and cleaning between materials
Steaming, conditioning or roastingConfirm hot-process recipe, heat source, batch size, temperature measurement and discharge method
Conveying and bufferingMatch the real capacity of each module to the press cycle, not only the nameplate throughput

The feeding, crushing and frying integrated machine and pre-press machine are optional process modules, not universal requirements.

Information Required for a Factory Quote

  1. Raw-material name, photos or sample, impurity level, moisture and whether shells are present.
  2. Planned hot-press or cold-press route and the required finished-oil stage.
  3. Target batch, shift or daily production and expected material-change frequency.
  4. Selected press model, available floor space, voltage, heat source, dust extraction and local utility limits.
  5. Required scope: individual machine, connected line, controls, installation support, spare parts and documentation.

Acceptance Basis

Use the buyer's representative material to record feed condition, cleaned loss, particle-size setting, temperature where applicable, actual throughput, transfer stability, cleaning access and safety interlocks. Oil yield and oil quality remain results of the complete material and process route; they are not guaranteed by purchasing a pre-treatment machine alone.
