HG-A/HG-B Spider-Arm Bottle Dryer

Spider arm energy-saving blow dryer

The HG-A/HG-B spider-arm dryer is intended for lines where fixed blowing points cannot consistently reach shoulders, waists, recessed panels or other changing bottle contours. Its swinging arms follow the bottle surface more closely, so selection should be based on actual container geometry and changeover conditions rather than published capacity alone.

Model positioning

Surface-following coverage

The spider-arm arrangement moves the blowing points around the passing container instead of relying on one fixed air curtain. This can improve coverage around neck transitions, shoulders, handles, waists and recessed faces on complex bottles. The result still depends on bottle stability, spacing, line speed and where water remains after rinsing, so the target should be a defined residual-water condition rather than an unqualified promise of complete drying.

During a format change, verify arm position and travel, bottle guides, conveyor width and clearances to caps, neck rings, handles and guards. Include the most difficult bottle shape in the trial, because a setting accepted for a round bottle may not cover another format or remain mechanically clear.

Bottle trial, quotation and acceptance

  • For a spider-arm quotation, provide production-representative samples, including the bottle with the most difficult shoulder, recess or handle area, or dimensioned drawings. State bottle material, filled or empty condition, required line speed and spacing, and mark the residual-water locations that matter before labeling, coding or packing.
  • Confirm conveyor height, width and direction, upstream and downstream interfaces, power supply and available installation space. The quotation should identify the proposed arm arrangement, format parts, adjustment range, guarding, utilities, spare or wear parts and scope of commissioning.
  • Define FAT/SAT in writing: run every nominated bottle at the agreed line speed, inspect the marked residual-water zones after a defined run, verify repeatable changeover and mechanical clearances, and record interface and safety checks. Acceptance should follow the agreed observable criterion, not a general claim that every bottle will be completely dry.
