Soybean Oil Processing Line

Soybeans require cleaning, optional dehulling, cracking or flaking, and heat-moisture conditioning before an industrial oil route is selected. Direct hydraulic cold pressing is not the default commercial solution; throughput, oil recovery, and the required meal quality must be evaluated together.

Raw Material Boundary

State whole beans or prepared meats, variety, moisture, impurities, storage condition, available oil and protein data, and the intended oil and meal uses. Capacity must be quoted on the actual clean bean or prepared-feed basis.

Recommended Pretreatment

1. Clean and remove stones, metal, and foreign material.
2. Dehull when meal or process requirements justify it.
3. Crack and flake or grind to the selected structure.
4. Condition heat and moisture to support oil release and meal quality.
5. Transfer the prepared material consistently to the selected press or extraction stage.

Pressing or Dedicated Route

For commercial volume, compare continuous screw pressing, pre-pressing, or a dedicated extraction route. A hydraulic batch trial can characterize prepared soybean material but should not be extrapolated into a continuous plant without cycle and mass-balance evidence. Crude soybean oil proceeds to solids removal, degumming, and refining according to the finished-oil specification.

Filtration and Finished-Oil Target

Define crude filtered or refined oil, solids, moisture, degumming scope, color, odor, and required laboratory tests. Also state the meal or cake target, including whether residual oil, protein, texture, or downstream feed processing will be evaluated.

Data Required for a Quotation

• Whole or dehulled soybean sample, moisture, impurities, oil and protein data if available, and storage condition
• Clean-bean input per hour or day, shifts, continuous-duty requirement, and meal use
• Dehulling, flaking, conditioning, hydraulic trial, screw press, pre-press, or dedicated extraction scope
• Crude or refined oil target, filtration, degumming, refining, tank, and package scope
• Steam or heat, power, conveying, floor space, destination, and delivery terms

Acceptance Records

Record cleaning and dehulling losses, flake thickness or grind condition, moisture and temperature after conditioning, feed rate or batch charge, crude and filtered oil, and meal or cake. Identify oil and meal sampling points, record residual-oil testing by the agreed method, and verify degumming or refining performance only for modules included in the contract.
