Pumpkin Seed Oil Pressing Line

Pumpkin seed projects must state whether the press feed is whole seed or dehulled kernel. Hull ratio, drying condition, and damaged seed change the usable feed, batch density, filtration load, and finished-oil profile.

Pumpkin seeds prepared for pressing

Raw Material Boundary

Declare seed type, whole-seed or kernel basis, hull ratio, moisture, impurities, storage history, and intended use. Remove moldy, insect-damaged, empty, scorched, or rancid material. Wet seed taken directly from fruit processing requires washing and controlled drying before storage or pressing.

  1. Wash or dry-clean according to the supplied seed condition.
  2. Dry evenly and cool before storage.
  3. Dehull when the product and trial require a kernel feed.
  4. Sort and remove foreign material.
  5. Crush lightly or condition according to the selected trial route.

Pressing Route and Equipment

Compare a low-temperature hydraulic batch trial with a separate lightly roasted or conditioned trial when a stronger seed aroma is required. Run whole-seed and dehulled-kernel samples separately because their charge density and cake behavior differ. Select the press only after the feed basis and trial record are fixed.

Filtration and Finished-Oil Target

Set the settling or filtration method, visible sediment, clarity, color, seed aroma, and sampling time. Tanks and packages should match the required protection from light and oxygen, and the quote should state whether filtered oil or further refining is in scope.

Data Required for a Quotation

  • Wet seed, dry whole seed, or kernel sample; hull ratio, moisture, impurities, damaged fraction, and storage condition
  • Input basis and volume per batch or day, shifts, seasonality, and washing, drying, or dehulling scope
  • Cold-pressed or roasted profile and target color and aroma
  • Settling, filtration, tank, package, sampling, and test requirements
  • Heat source, power, floor space, destination, and delivery terms

Acceptance Records

Record the whole-seed or kernel basis, hull removal and kernel loss, moisture after drying, crush or conditioning settings, charge weight, cycle time, oil temperature, crude and filtered oil, and cake. Check color, aroma, clarity after the agreed period, cake discharge, retained material, and cleaning.

Request a Configuration and Quote

Send the actual whole seed or kernel sample, dry input basis, target oil profile, pretreatment and filtration scope, utilities, and destination for a trial-based quotation.
