Open pagePerilla seed oil is sensitive to unnecessary heat, air exposure, and long holding times. Cold-pressed and roasted perilla oils must be treated as separate product routes with separate trial records.

Declare seed variety, origin, moisture, impurities, storage time, damaged or moldy fraction, and intended use. Quote capacity on cleaned seed. Old, rancid, or mixed herb residue is not equivalent to sound oilseed feed.
Use a low-temperature hydraulic batch trial as the primary route when a light flavor and controlled oxidation are required. Roast or warm-condition a separate sample only when the intended product calls for a stronger aroma. For larger continuous duty, compare a screw press using the same finished-oil criteria.
Set the settling or filtration period, visible sediment, clarity, color, aroma, oxidation test method, and time to closed storage. Specify tanks and light-protective packages that match the agreed finished-oil handling plan.
Record seed moisture, cleaning loss, crush condition, roast or conditioning settings where used, charge weight, cycle time, oil temperature, crude and filtered oil, cake, and elapsed open-air time. Check clarity, color, aroma, rancid notes, tank closure, package suitability, retained product, and cleaning under the agreed sample conditions.
Send the perilla seed sample, dry throughput, cold or roasted product target, filtration and oxidation criteria, utilities, and destination for a trial-based line quotation.
