Check hot-press, cold-press and small-shop models by batch capacity.
Open pageFlaxseed is a small seed, and the crushed material and expressed oil require controlled handling to limit oxidation. Cold-pressed and heat-conditioned flaxseed oils are different product specifications and should be trialed and quoted separately.

Identify seed variety, origin, moisture, impurities, damaged or moldy seed, storage time, and intended food or industrial use. Remove dust, stones, metal, and rancid lots. Quote capacity on cleaned dry seed and record cleaning loss separately.
For specialty cold-pressed oil, use a low-temperature hydraulic batch trial with rapid handling of crushed seed. A warm or hot-conditioned route may improve pressing behavior but creates a different flavor and oxidation profile and must be evaluated on the same lot. For continuous commercial volume, compare a screw-press route and downstream solids handling.
Define settled or fine-filtered oil, visible sediment, clarity, color, aroma, oxidation test method, and sampling time. Closed tanks and light-protective packaging should be specified where required, together with the maximum permitted delay between pressing and final closure.
Record cleaning loss, seed moisture, crush size, conditioning settings where used, charge or feed rate, cycle time, oil temperature, crude and filtered oil, and cake. Note the elapsed time from crushing to pressing and from pressing to closed storage. Compare clarity, color, aroma, and agreed oxidation results only for the documented lot and route.
Send the flaxseed sample, dry input, cold or conditioned product target, oxidation and filtration requirements, utilities, and destination for a route-specific quotation.
