Hydraulic Oil Press Factory Visit Checklist

This page is a procurement checklist for evaluating a production facility. Factory area, machine counts, monthly capacity, automation level, qualification rate, energy savings, revenue, employment, and expansion targets should not be accepted without current records and a defined calculation method.

Before the Visit

Request the following in advance:

• Current business license, factory address, contracting entity, bank beneficiary, and export entity
• Itemized quotation, model list, general arrangement drawing, utility list, and preliminary bill of materials
• Proposed inspection and test plan, sample-trial protocol, and factory acceptance criteria
• Copies of certificates or qualifications cited in the proposal
• Draft delivery schedule, packing method, destination voltage and frequency, Incoterm, and after-sales scope

Manufacturing Scope to Inspect

Material and Fabrication

• Steel and component identification, storage, material certificates where specified, and incoming inspection records
• Cutting, machining, frame fabrication, welding procedure, heat treatment where applicable, and dimensional checks
• Control of subcontracted processes and purchased assemblies

Hydraulic and Electrical Assembly

• Cylinder, pump, valves, hoses or pipes, pressure instruments, oil specification, cleanliness, and leakage controls
• Motor, electrical cabinet, wiring, grounding, sensors, alarms, interlocks, emergency stop, and destination electrical standard
• Component brands and models matched to the approved bill of materials

Final Assembly, Test, and Packing

• Machine configuration compared with the approved drawing and quotation
• Nameplate, guards, manuals, electrical and hydraulic diagrams, spare parts, tools, and labels
• Test-instrument identification and calibration status
• Export packing, moisture protection, lifting points, packing list, and container-loading plan

Verify Capacity and Lead Time

Do not infer manufacturing capacity from floor area, equipment count, or a percentage increase. Ask for evidence relevant to the order:

• Current production schedule with confidential customer data removed
• Dated completion and shipment records for comparable models
• Identified bottlenecks in machining, welding, hydraulic assembly, electrical assembly, testing, and packing
• Availability of critical purchased components and realistic supplier lead times
• Planned start, inspection, corrective-action, packing, and shipment dates written into the contract

Factory Acceptance Test

The FAT should cover the ordered configuration and agreed risks:

1. Verify model, dimensions, materials, components, accessories, voltage, and documents.
2. Run no-load operation and inspect noise, vibration, oil temperature, leakage, controls, and alarms.
3. Record hydraulic pressure, hold time, relief settings, return sequence, and safety functions.
4. Test interlocks, emergency stop, guarding, and manual fallback.
5. Run a representative material trial when yield, throughput, cake condition, oil quality, or dewatering result affects acceptance.
6. Record deviations, correction, retest, sign-off, packing release, and retained evidence.

Certificate and Document Checks

If ISO 9001, ISO 14001, CE, patents, green-factory status, or other qualifications are cited, request documents showing the holder, number, issuer, scope, covered site or product, and validity dates. Verify them with the issuer or official database. A management-system certificate does not establish the performance of the ordered machine.

Export Project File

Confirm responsibility for the commercial invoice, packing list, HS code, certificate of origin where included, inspection certificate where required, EU Declaration of Conformity or destination documents where applicable, manuals, drawings, destination-language labels, insurance, freight, customs, and installation records.
